Scartazzini’s orchestral work “Salve” for Basel

“Salve”. You can’t put it more clearly than in the title of Andrea Lorenzo Scartazzini’s new orchestral work for the reopening of the renovated Grand Casino in Basel. A composed ‘Welcome’ in these times applies twice over – to hearing the orchestra again after an enforced pause, and to the reopening of the concert hall. The premiere on 22 August with the Sinfonieorchester Basel will be conducted by Ivor Bolton.
