Bruckner’s 4th Symphony

Nevertheless, the new edition by the American Bruckner specialist Benjamin Korstvedt, who has undertaken a detailed comparative examination of all the surviving written sources for the first time, differs in important aspects from the older editions by Robert Haas and Leopold Nowak. 

How this affects the work tonally and structurally can be heard on 9 December 2018 in the Palais des Beaux Arts Brussels, when Hartmut Haenchen will launch the new critical edition. He conducts the Belgian National Orchestra. The concert begins at 15.00 hrs.
